Terms of use

1. The app

Focus2Scroll is a focus timer. While a session runs, it blocks apps you choose and alerts you if you pick up your phone or, in Strict mode, leave your desk. Focus earns scroll minutes you can spend on those apps. Features may change as we improve the app.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country, to use Focus2Scroll. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

3. Subscriptions and free trial

• Focus2Scroll needs a paid subscription. New subscribers may get a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan.
• No charge during the trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, your subscription starts automatically and you're charged the price shown when you subscribed.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (week or year) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Payment is taken by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Manage or cancel in your store account: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
• Deleting the app doesn't cancel your subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We can't issue refunds directly.
• A lifetime purchase, where offered, is a one-time payment that unlocks the app for as long as we offer it.
• Prices may change. We'll tell you before a new price applies to your subscription, as the stores require.

4. Using it fairly

Don't misuse Focus2Scroll. That means you won't:

• reverse-engineer, copy or resell the app, except where the law allows;
• try to break, overload or get around its security;
• use it to break the law.

5. What it isn't

Focus2Scroll is a productivity tool, not a medical or mental-health service. App blocking relies on your phone's operating system and may not work in every situation: for example, if you change permissions or the system restricts the app. Focus2Scroll never blocks phone calls. Don't rely on it for anything safety-critical.

6. Your data

Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how to delete it. Strict mode uses your camera on your device only; nothing is recorded or uploaded.

7. Ownership

The app, its design and its content belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Focus2Scroll on devices you own or control, for as long as these terms apply.

8. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Focus2Scroll reliable, but it's provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet every goal you set.

9. Our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Focus2Scroll in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

10. Ending

You can stop using Focus2Scroll anytime, and delete your data in Settings → Delete my data. We may suspend access if you seriously break these terms.

11. Apple App Store

If you downloaded Focus2Scroll from the App Store:

• These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation to the extent the law allows.
• Apple isn't responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, or intellectual property claims.
• You confirm you aren't in a country under a US government embargo and aren't on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Changes and law

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator is established, except where the law of your country of residence gives you more protection as a consumer.
